A new data privacy law General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into force on May 25, 2018 impacting how businesses collect and process data. Your privacy is important to us, and we are fully committed to protecting your privacy. Please read the following terms carefully before you access and use our websites. If you do not agree with any of the clauses, agreements, statements or policies, do not proceed in accessing or use our website.

This Data Privacy Policy tells you about joy.link policy and practice for the collecting, using, processing, storing, transferring, protecting, and disclosing of information that we may collect about you through our website, https://joy.link/, or any subdomains. We intend to give you full transparency on how we collect, use, and share information about you. Note when we use the terms: joy.link, we, us, service, & website in this Privacy Policy, we are referring to the company Decodes Limited; and terms such as: you, your, & user are referring to you as the individual using our service.

Relationship with Decodes Limited and affiliated merchants

joy.link along with all subdomains are part of the Decodes Limited family, the legal entity and data provider of products, merchants, and any other distributed contents on the website. There will be information received and share with Decodes Limited, and their affiliate merchants. We will provide detail examples and explanations below of what part your data privacy comes in play when using our website, and help you decide to proceed with our service and allow us to access your personal information.

What personal information do we collect from you

We only collect personal information that you provide to us when subscribing to our services including logins, checkouts, newsletter subscription, etc. These information may include (but not limited to) your name, contact numbers, mailing/shipping/billing addresses, login name & password, social media accounts, credit card information, IP address, and other applicable information. Surrender of such personal information is to be agreed upon that you are voluntarily providing such information to us to proceed with using our service (e.g. to register for an account for newsletter, reviews, product checkout, or any type of data exchange). Payment information will be collected when you use our transaction services, as we will need certain shipping and billing information to process the order. These services including concierge purchasing, and parcel forwarding service, where you designate us to be your representative to purchase the item from the merchant or using one of the provided logistics solution for international shipping. In such cases, we will require your name, contact information and other possibly importing details to place the order. These personal and payment information will be provided to us either during account registration or at checkout, both of which we will collect and store these information via upmost secured processes.

Information we collect automatically when you use the Services

We collect information about you when you use our Services, including browsing our websites and taking certain actions within the Services.

Decodes Companies: We share information we have about you with affiliates in order to operate and improve products and services and to offer other affiliated services to you. This includes companies that own or operate the services in the Decodes Limited product family.

Business transfers: We may share or transfer information we collect under this privacy policy in connection with any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of the joy.link or Decodes Limited businesses to another company. How we store and secure information we collect

We use data hosting service providers in the United States to host the information we collect, and we use technical measures to secure your data. Our privacy policy is very simple. We do not intentionally collect any sort of personal information or PII from joy.link’s users. For each visitor to our website, our Web server automatically recognizes only the visitor's IP address. We use your IP address to administer our website. Upon visiting our website, we assign each visitor a unique ID that is used to track visitor traffic patterns within our website. We also collect aggregate and user-specific information on the pages that visitors access or visit. We reserve the right to retain all website traffic reporting data as long as may be reasonably necessary for accounting and auditing purposes. There are two classes of Cookies based on how long they remain on your system: (i) “Session Cookies” may be used only during your visit to the Site and are erased once you close your browser, and (ii) “Persistent Cookies” (if applicable) remain on your browser for one (1) year from your last visit to the Site and enable us to remember you on subsequent visits to the Site and provide more relevant content to you on such Site.

There are many misconceptions about Cookies, some of which we will try to address in this policy. Cookies cannot erase your hard drive or otherwise damage your computer and do not tell us an e-mail address or any other PII. We do not and cannot use Cookies or web beacons to retrieve PII from your computer.

joy.link does not automatically collect any personal information about you. We do collect PII, including but not limited to your name, e-mail address, geographical location, age and gender, through membership registration, newsletter sign-up requests or promotional contests. We have access to your PII after such PII has been submitted to us where for example (i) you provide us with personal and corporate information, such as name, address, email address and other account information, in order to be able to access and use our services (ii) as part of our sales efforts, we may collect and store data through online forms for contact purposes (iii) you provide information when you send us inquiries relating to our services or in relation to this Privacy Policy (iv) you become a registered user of our Site, (v) you subscribe to any of our newsletters (vi) you contact us by submitting a comment, problem, or request for information ,for example if you report a problem with our site (vii) you submit a review of one of our merchants we will use your email to give you feedback and/or enquire about the delivery process of your product (viii) you submit PII in connection with special offers or contests which can then be used for contact purposes by joy.link and/or merchant/supplier,or by (ix) signing up as one of our advertisers, merchants or business partners.

PII provided in connection with problems, comments or requests is used only to respond to those problems, comments or requests. This information is not stored or used in connection with Clickstream Data and is provided to a third party only as necessary to respond to the comment, problem or request of as required by law or court order.

Please note that it is not necessary for you to become a member in order to use many of the features on joy.link, a non-member can easily see products and prices, perform searches, read reviews and take advantage of many other useful features on the site.

joy.link also operates a free e-newsletter service - the joy.link Update - to help you keep up-to-date with the best deals, contests and joy.link news. This is an opt-in service so, as a member, you will receive the newsletter. To unsubscribe simply send an e-mail to info@joy.link and include your e-mail address.

The reason that we ask for this PII is to provide you with information that you may request, to customize your experience on the Site, and to contact you when necessary in connection with any promotions you participate in.

We also use this information for internal business purposes, such as aggregating the data to help us to create a profile of joy.link visitors, as a whole, so that we can; a) build a better understanding of our users and enhance the services we offer, and b) attract advertisers to spend money on joy.link, thus enabling our free price comparison service to operate.

Finally, from time to time, but only with your permission, we may provide your PII to selected third parties who wish to participate in special promotions offered in conjunction with us.

Data Deletion Policy

User can send a message to data-deletion@de.codes to request for the closure of account and the deletion of data. The request will be processed within 7 working days and the user will receive an email confirmation from https://joy.link upon successful deletion of account and the data.
